The goal of the North Shore Chinese Boxing Academy is to give the purest and highest quality instruction and coaching of the Pin Sun Wing Chun system and to produce healthy students with an ability to defend themselves. We offer group and private instruction to those who are interested in a practical system of self-defense, and to you who would like to regain a healthy body through a natural way of training. Our training space is located just 15 minutes north of Boston in Winthrop, MA. When trained with the proper progression of the system, a student can acquire a high standard of ability in close range self defense skills. Unlike other Wing Chun systems, Pin Sun Wing Chun is made up of 12 separate hands, or reflex training modules, which are trained at high repetition, solo-set or with a partner, and occasionally on the wooden dummy. Basically it's a streamlined practical version of Wing Chun that can produce incredible results for a serious practitioner simply because its boiled down to key movements. Although Wing Chun is a fighting art, its roots are of traditional Chinese origin making it a path to a healthier mind, body, and soul. Some of the additional benefits of our training are increased tendon strength, flexibility, increased energy (chi), increased awareness of the inner energy work of your body, and an increase in compassion and confidence.
